Taj Mahal is considered the most beautiful building in the whole world. It is Called as the “symbol of love”. It built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. In (1628–58) to immortalize his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The tomb includes a mosque and a Guest House. It is the best example of Mughal architecture and a symbol of India’s rich history. For its construction, masons, stone-cutters, inlayers, carvers, painters, calligraphers, and dome-builders. It has three gates east, west and south. The monument stands on a raised marble platform at the northern end of the garden, facing its back to the Yamuna River.
Its raised position is a masterstroke design as it leaves the sky as its only backdrop. Each corner of the platform is graced with 40m high white minarets. The four indistinguishable faces of the Taj are in perfect symmetry, featuring impressive vaulted arches containing pietra dura scrollwork and the quotations from the Quran. The Taj Mahala’s exterior decoration is the finest in Mughal architecture. The decorative elements can be grouped into either calligraphy, abstract forms, and vegetative motifs. The interior chamber of the Taj Mahal reaches far beyond traditional decorative elements. The inlay work is a lapidary of precious and semiprecious gemstones. The inner chamber, an octagon with the design allowing for entry from each face only the door facing the garden to the south is used.
It is a dynamic image with a different beauty. The best time to visit here is the sunrise, it looks the most atmospheric. And one more magical time to visit the Taj is the sunset.
